About BrainStack Studio

The decision engine
that shows its work.

BrainStack Studio turns the hardest operating questions — pricing, cash flow, capacity, risk, investment — into structured, auditable answers you can stand behind. A governed multi-model AI core, industry-agnostic by design, engineered to show its work every single time.

Our Mission

Most operating decisions still come down to a spreadsheet, a gut call, and hope. BrainStack Studio is the governed engine underneath the call: it takes the messy inputs — pricing, capacity, cash flow, risk — and returns a structured, defensible answer with the reasoning attached, so you can put real money behind it. Industry-agnostic by design, because the math of a hard decision doesn't change when the industry does.

The same core that powers focused vertical products — including MyRoofGenius, the live flagship for the roofing industry — is open to operators directly: map your real workflows, pressure-test the hard calls, and build evidence-backed cases — every output concrete, auditable, and yours to verify.

How we build

How we decide what to build — and what to refuse.

Trust by Design

We default to safety, governance, and clear limits.

Operational Clarity

We map real workflows, not generic promises.

Audit-Ready

Outputs are traceable, reviewable, and designed for operators.

Human-Centered

We augment operators instead of replacing judgment.

Solo-built, on purpose — no venture funding

Colorado Springs, CO

Graduate-trained in the field, then a career across the domains where scale and consequence are highest — safety-critical railroad systems, national-scale geospatial and CAD engineering, large-scale operations, and corporate IT.

I did my graduate work in geospatial engineering, then came up young in demanding rooms — back when systems like Positive Train Control were being built for the first time, where a wrong number doesn't break a report, it stops a train. I was writing against and cleaning up geospatial data and APIs long before GIS was something most people talked about, on national-scale infrastructure.

By my twenties I was directing geospatial operations across more than forty offices nationwide — leading teams and systems for complex, high-stakes work. I was also there at the frontier of aerial-imagery measurement: in the room when the technology that would become the standard for measuring roofs and assets from the sky was still being pitched to the railroads, working directly with the people building it.

Across all of it, one lesson held: the tools people actually trusted were the ones that showed their work — every measurement, every assumption, every number you could check yourself. The ones that hid their math got abandoned, no matter how impressive the demo.

BrainStack Studio is that lesson turned into a platform — a governed decision engine that gives operators structured, auditable answers and shows its work at every step, the same core adapting across industries to power focused vertical products and serve operators directly. MyRoofGenius is the live proof: the roofing industry vertical this engine already runs in production — a real commercial SaaS product, not a demo. I share where I came from not to list titles, but so you know the instincts behind this were earned the hard way. It's solo-built, on purpose — controlled multi-model AI with human review, no venture funding, no feature bloat, no promises without proof. Decision infrastructure built by someone who has had to live with the consequences of a wrong number, for the people who still do.
